Digital content creator Carrol ‘Sonnie’ Muthoni has joyfully announced her engagement. The mother of one shared a heartwarming video on her Instagram, showcasing her engagement ring, a bouquet of red and white roses, and a charming brown teddy bear from her fiancé.
In her caption, she expressed her excitement, writing, “wacha pia nisambaratishe,” adorned with several red heart emojis, and proudly showed off her unique butterfly-shaped ring.
On her Instagram stories, Sonnie, a prominent brand influencer, shared her happiness in finding love again despite past challenges. She gave her 181,000 followers an inside look at the proposal.
Sonnie, known as Keilah’s mom, posted a video dressed in a blue denim dress while holding a large bouquet of flowers. In the video, she humorously wrote, “karibu I give up on love yawa,” while laughing, reflecting on her past doubts about love.
Celebrating her newfound joy, Carrol added, “eeish, happiness looks good on me.” She also shared a picturesque view of a city hotel along Mombasa Road, marked with a ring emoji.
Four months ago, Sonnie hinted at her relationship by posting a video with a tall, light-skinned man whose face remained hidden. In the video, she wrote, “Hey babe, watu wamesema wanataka harusi sasa,” suggesting that wedding plans were on the horizon.
This appears to be the same man she subtly introduced last year while making a playful jab at her baby daddy, Mulamwah, during his traditional wedding to Ruth K, promising that her celebration would be even grander.
In a December 2023 YouTube video, Sonnie mentioned that her public relationship reveal would be a significant event. “Mpoa wangu anakuanga tu hapa each and every time ni venye tu hataki kuonekana kwa camera. But let me tell you, the day I will decide to introduce my mpoa, mhhh dunia itasimama. Wacha venye munasema hapa ruracio sijui nini nini. Yetu itasimamisha dunia,” she proudly stated.
