Content creator Fao Shyshy, who interned at A Nurse Toto Show, recently opened up about her not-so-pleasant experience of being ghosted in the middle of a talking stage. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t exactly the romantic connection she hoped for.
In a candid interview with Obinna, Fao shared how her potential romance pulled a vanishing act, leaving her bewildered and, quite frankly, frustrated. Imagine pouring your heart out in texts just to be met with…silence. Yep, for four excruciating days, she was left wondering if she’d somehow texted herself into the void.
After what seemed like a promising connection, this guy suddenly decided that disappearing was the best strategy. According to Fao, despite her attempts to reach out, her messages went unanswered—except, of course, when it came to his posts on social media. Because why would he respond when he’s busy curating the perfect Instagram feed, right?
“A guy ghosted me after we’d been talking regularly. Even when he was busy, he’d make time. Then, out of nowhere, he stopped communicating. I kept texting, but all I got was him posting online while leaving me on read,” she explained.
When she finally confronted him about the silent treatment, he still didn’t have the decency to respond. Classic move. It wasn’t until later that the puzzle pieces came together. Turns out, our “nice guy” was already committed—in a serious relationship, no less. The final revelation? His girlfriend messaged Fao, essentially telling her to back off.
“I found out he had a girlfriend. She texted me, asking me to leave him alone. I was talking to him because he was so nice, such a gentleman,” Fao added, clearly noting the irony.
Fao wrapped up her story with a straightforward request: guys, just be honest. It really isn’t that hard to say, “I’m seeing someone else,” instead of ghosting.
