Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has officially ended his pursuit of Kenyan socialite Huddah Monroe, citing the high cost of maintaining her lifestyle. The outspoken politician took to social media to share his decision, stating that it’s best he parts ways with Huddah.
“Hawa wenye hukuliwa na pesa mimi siezani wataangusha serikali. Afadhali nirudi kwa vienyeji yangu ya kawaida. I officially disassociate myself from this chick,” he wrote.

Salasya expressed frustration, implying that relationships driven by financial gains are unsustainable. He apologized to local women, whom he referred to as “kienyeji girls,” for neglecting them in his pursuit of the socialite.
“Any comment I made that hurt any of my kienyeji girls, please forgive me. It was just social media hype. You are the ones who can handle me. She wants men with wash wash money who can afford to waste it,” he added.
Salasya’s Attempt at Love
Just a month ago, Salasya openly professed his love for Huddah Monroe, even dedicating multiple social media posts to her. His efforts, however, faced a major obstacle on August 30, 2024, when Huddah laid out strict demands before meeting him.
She insisted that any meetup must occur at a five-star hotel, in a presidential suite adorned with orange roses, her favorite flower. Additionally, she requested a Ksh3,870,000 greeting fee, warning that without the payment, she would remain silent during the entire encounter.
Huddah’s Response
Despite the MP’s public declarations of love, Huddah Monroe showed no interest, dismissing his posts as mere poetry without financial backing.
“Mistari Bila Pesa Ni Shairi,” she bluntly responded.
Fans Encourage Salasya to Move On
Following the public back-and-forth, many of Salasya’s followers have urged him to move on and seek a woman who will love him for who he is, rather than his financial status.
